Water Quality

We provide long-term water quality monitoring and data interpretation services for our clients in the mining and petroleum industries, as well as to local government agencies managing subsistence fisheries. We have developed techniques for collecting water samples seasonally for analysis of various aquatic constituents including metals, hydrocarbons, and primary productivity. We also conduct environmental DNA analysis of fish presence and collect periphyton and macroinvertebrate samples as indicators of aquatic productivity and health. We regularly consult with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) and other agencies to interpret our results in the context of government standards for water quality.
