Over the past two years, Caitlin Forster, John Seigle, Kenny Matson, Jojo Baldus, and Andy Bankert have provided fisheries assistance to the North Slope Borough’s Department of Wildlife by sampling for brackish/marine fish and invertebrates at locations in Elson Lagoon and at Plover Point on Alaska's North Slope.
They conducted under-ice sampling using nets, traps, and GoPro videography and collected water quality data with conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) recorders and handheld YSI multiparameter units. During during nearshore surveys in the open-water season, they also conducted fyke-net sampling at North Salt Lagoon.
