ABR scientists have gained extensive experience in a broad variety of environmental impact analyses throughout Alaska since the mid-1980s. Key ABR staff has advanced training in NEPA documentation, including cumulative effects analysis. Our impact assessment team understands the need for well-defined analytical criteria to assess direct, indirect, and cumulative impacts in terms of magnitude, extent, duration, frequency, and likelihood. Our scientists understand the vital importance of developing and applying innovative, effective strategies to minimize or, when necessary, to mitigate project impacts or to develop fair and adequate compensation terms. ABR’s scientists have designed monitoring studies to evaluate residual impacts and provide information for adaptive management.
