Soils inventory and characterization for the Southwest Alaska Network (SWAN): Phase II Lake Clark National Park and Preserve.

ABR collected ecological and soils data in Lake Clark National Park and Preserve (LACL) during the summer of 2011 based on data gaps indentified during the data gap analysis phase. Field data were incorporated into the preliminary soils landscape model for LACL and a final soils landscape model and report were generated. Soil samples were collected from a select number of field sites for use in testing the feasibility of developing a Near Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy library for soils in LACL.  Lastly, in order to facilitate future soils mapping efforts in Kenai Fjords National Park, pre-existing soils and vegetation data were obtained on paper field forms and entered into a digital database.

ABR's triple bottom line: "Environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic viability"
