Ecological Land Survey and Synthesis for the Arctic Inventory and Monitoring Network of the National Park Service, Alaska

ABR conducted a 3-year project that (1) revised the subsection map for the Gates of the Arctic to standardize linework and attributes with other parks; (2) compiled existing vegetation, soil, and ecological data into a standardized comprehensive database; (3) conducted ecological land surveys with increased emphasis on soil characterization in Noatak, Gates of the Arctic, and Kobuk Valley parklands, targeted toward identification and filling of data gaps; (4) analyzed and synthesized ecological information across the parks; and (5) integrated existing land cover maps.

ABR's triple bottom line: "Environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic viability"
