ABR conducted field studies to collect baseline information on the fish, wildlife, and botanical resources in the Lake Chikuminuk and Allen River drainage basin and in the proposed transmission corridor between Lake Chikuminuk and Bethel. Aerial reconnaissance was conducted to familiarize principal investigators with the study areas. Raptor surveys were conducted to determine the status of raptor nests in the Lake Chikuminuk basin. Fish presence/absence surveys were conducted in Lake Chikuminuk and in inlet streams. Fish habitat assessments, spawning habitat surveys, and macroinvertebrate and periphyton sampling also were conducted. A bathymetric survey of the lake was conducted.
