Caitlin has a diverse background in fisheries science in the lower 48 and in Alaska. Her experience includes studies conducted aboard fishing and research vessels in both the Bering Sea and the Arctic Ocean. She has fish capture and tagging experience in marine and freshwater systems, in-depth knowledge of lab techniques for processing and aging fish otoliths, and also is trained in data manipulation and analysis.
Caitlin received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Washington and her M.S. in fisheries science from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Her graduate work focused on the distribution and abundance of Arctic cod in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas.
